No1 loves fishballs and mushrooms so I often have some variation of these two. I cooked this recently and she loves it, even the soup.
200g fishballs
150g oyster mushrooms
1 chicken cube
1 tsp chopped garlic
800ml of water*
1/2 tbsp fish sauce*
1/2 tbsp soy sauce*
*Measurements are estimated. I usually do a taste test, and adjust accordingly.
- Heat a little bit of cooking oil (perhaps 5-cents size).
- Add garlic and 1 chicken cube. Stir-fry until chicken cube is dissolved.
- Add water, fish sauce and soy sauce. Stir and let cook to a boil
- Add fishballs and oyster mushrooms. Cook until both fishballs and mushrooms are cooked. I usually wait until the fishballs are all floating and soup is boiling again.
